Your data, and how we look after it.
Laji Logix keeps track of your parcels in real time. To do that, we need a few details about you and your parcel. This page explains what we collect, why, who sees it, and your rights.
1. Who we are
Laji Logix is a parcel tracking service operated by Laji Holdings Ltd, Douala, Cameroon ("Laji", "we"). We are responsible for the personal data processed through Laji Logix, under Cameroon's Law No. 2024/017 of 23 December 2024 on personal data protection.
Laji Logix works with travel agencies. When you send a parcel, the agency registers it with Laji Logix, and its staff can see the details needed to handle your parcel.
2. What we collect
| What | Details | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Your Laji ID | Full name, phone number, your Laji ID (for example aminabello@laji.cm), the town of your agency, and a password | You, when you create your Laji ID |
| Parcel details | Names and phone numbers of the sender and the recipient, the sending and collecting agencies, what is inside (if you tell us), the parcel PIN, dates, and each step of the journey | You or the agency, when the parcel is registered |
| Backup numbers | Up to two other phone numbers to call if the parcel is lost, and who each person is (for example "Sister") | You, if you choose to add them |
| Journey records | Which agency staff member or delivery agent handled the parcel, and when; whether the shipment seal was intact on arrival | The agency and delivery agents, as they handle the parcel |

We do not collect medical information through Laji Logix. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell it.
3. Why we use it
- To deliver the service: registering your parcel, showing where it is in real time, telling the agency where it goes, and making sure only the right person collects it.
- To return lost parcels: so someone who finds a parcel can contact its owner.
- To keep your Laji ID working: so you stay signed in and see all your parcels in one place.
- For safety and disputes: each handover is recorded, so a lost or contested parcel can be traced.
- To run and improve Laji Logix: counting parcels per agency, checking that tracking equipment works, and fixing problems.
We process your data because it is needed to provide the service you ask for, and with your consent when you create your Laji ID or add optional details such as backup numbers.
4. Who can see your data
- The sender and the recipient see the parcel's details, its position and its journey, once signed in with their Laji ID.
- Agency staff at the sending and collecting agencies see the parcel details and the PIN, to register, ship and hand over the parcel.
- Delivery agents who deliver a parcel see the recipient's name and phone number.
- Parcel photos are seen only by the sender, the recipient and the two agencies, through links that expire after 12 hours.
- Customers see a delivery agent's name, photo, phone number, agency and ID check, so they know who is carrying their parcel.
- Anyone who scans the tag sees only the owner's first name, the numbers chosen for finding the parcel, and the sending agency. Nothing else is shown without the PIN or a Laji ID.
- Laji staff who run Laji Logix, when needed for support and security.
- Authorities, only when the law requires it.
5. Your Laji ID
Your Laji ID is your account. You create it yourself, with your own name, phone number and password. It is kept for as long as you have it, and the same Laji ID gives you access to other Laji services.
Your password is held by our account provider in protected form. Laji Logix itself never stores it. Never share your password or your parcel PIN with anyone you do not trust.
If you think someone created a Laji ID with your phone number without your permission, contact us. We will check your identity and give you control of it.
6. Location
- During the trip: parcels travel with Laji tracking equipment, and we record its position about once a minute. This is the position of the equipment, not of any person.
- During delivery: while a delivery agent carries your parcel, their phone shares its position about once a minute, also with the screen off, so you can see your parcel coming. It stops when they have no parcel to deliver.
- Agencies: we show where each agency is on the map.
Laji Logix does not track the location of senders or recipients.
7. Service providers
We use a small number of providers to run Laji Logix. They only use your data to provide their service to us.
- Website and database hosting, where parcel records are stored.
- Supabase, our account provider, which stores your Laji ID. Its servers are in the European Union (Ireland).
- CARTO and OpenStreetMap, which provide the map images. Your phone downloads these images directly, so CARTO receives your internet address and the area of the map being shown.
- WhatsApp and Google Maps, only when you tap a WhatsApp or Google Maps button. Their own privacy policies then apply.
8. How long we keep it
- Tracking positions: deleted automatically after 45 days.
- Parcel photos: kept with the parcel record.
- Parcel records and journey history: kept for as long as needed to handle disputes and meet our legal and accounting obligations.
- Your Laji ID: kept until you ask us to delete it.
- On your phone: until you sign out or remove the app.
9. Your rights
Under Cameroonian law, you can:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct data that is wrong or incomplete.
- Delete your data, unless we must keep it for a legal reason or an open dispute.
- Object to a use of your data, or withdraw your consent for optional details such as backup numbers.
- Complain to Cameroon's personal data protection authority.
To use any of these rights, contact us (see below). We may ask you to prove your identity first, to protect your data.
10. Security
- All connections to Laji Logix are encrypted.
- Parcel details are protected by a 4-digit PIN or your Laji ID. Repeated wrong PINs lock the parcel.
- Staff sign in with personal accounts, and each handover is recorded.
No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach that affects your data, we will act quickly and inform you and the authorities as the law requires.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when Laji Logix changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is important, we will tell you in the app.
